The Depot Museum contains antique furniture from railroad stations, including the original waiting room benches from the Salem station that was torn down in 1982. Old Mill Canoe Rental - Blue River

The Blue River is a 57-mile-long stream that runs through Harrison, Crawford and Washington counties in Indiana. It arises near Salem in Washington County and flows south into the Ohio River just upstream from Leavenworth. The river is divided into four segments, designating the river as scenic, recreational and natural, and is managed by the Blue River Commission. The Blue consists of bends, rapids, chutes, limestone bluffs, half canyons, islands, springs, caves, hollows, and bottoms. The Blue River is the first Indiana Stream to be protected by the Natural Scenic and Recreational Rivers Act of 1973.

Pioneer Village - John Hay Center

The village is located directly behind the Steven’s Museum and is within walking distance of all other attractions on the grounds of the John Hay Center. Besides being a step back in time, the pioneer village is an ongoing project for the John Hay Center and will continue to grow for many years to come.The village is a replica of an 1830’s community featuring a jail, blacksmith, school, church, smoke house, barn, bell tower, loom house, and New Philadelphia Post Office and General Store. At various times during the year, volunteers portray excellent renditions of various community figures such as the blacksmith or loom worker.

Piper Flight Museum

The Piper Flight Center Museum is located at the Salem Municipal Airport in Salem, Indiana. The Piper Flight Museum contains three vintage Piper aircraft, a flight simulator, and a display room with several display cases containing numerous Piper artifacts dating back to the early beginning of Piper Aircraft Corporation. Riley's Place / DePauw Park

"Riley's Place" is located inside DePauw Park. DePauw Park is just a few blocks west of the Salem Square. Riley's Place was named after Riley Jean Tomlinson, a local toddler who accidentally drowned in a swimming pool, the park was built in 2001 and contains two and three story wooden castles and other structures for children's play along with swings, slides, and similar playground equipment.

Rosa Luna Fields

Rosa Luna Fields is a small alpaca farm situated in Pekin. The main attraction is the Huacaya Alpacas. Alpacas are native to the Andes mountains, at altitudes of up to 13,000 ft above sea level. Its natural range encompasses four South American countries. Rosa Luna Fields presently have 8 females and a four month old male named Leo. Alpacas are fascinating animals each with their own personality. The other girls on the farm are Italian Honeybees and our chickens and guineas. Rosa Luna Fields shear once a year, usually in April.
